Have discovered Marianne Faithful singing "Ballad of Lucy Jordan" in the depths of my various bits of technology and can't stop listening to it. Its like a craving. I have other, wonderful songs, but that is what I have to listen to. Is it the bit about driving through Paris in a sports car??? well, yes............and incidentally reminds me of the little phase in my life when a rather beautiful young man used to drive me through central London on his enormous motor bike to take me to lunch in little restaurants in Soho with candles in wine bottles on the tables, and gingham check table cloths. We'd have lovely tête-a-têtes before driving back to work in Whitehall. He was gay of course.
Had a haircut yesterday. If you have never traveled for more than a couple of months, you may not know what a massive and scary step this is. Mostly its best to wait til you get home but suddenly my hair became unbearable.
Really exciting developments at Contact Magazine as Lha English language students start to get involved in writing.
