77. Poo. In more ways than one

What have I done to deserve this?  Can it be mere coincidence that on the day I am taught how to ask for the toilet in Tibetan I suffer that most horrible and unignorable need for one????

I have learned that when addressing Tibetans you call them "sister", "father", "daughter",  etc, according to whether you are older or younger, or the same age.  If they are older you add an honorific "la" at the end.  As I seem to be older than just about everybody in McLeod Ganj I get "la" 'd a lot.

And however appropriate, I'll have difficulty addressing anybody as "son" as the word for son is "poo", causing the lesson to once again degenerate into helpless laughter.
