35. wellies!

Wellies have saved the day!  The warden at St David's YH has lent me a pair which, with padding and thick socks, means its safe to venture out for at least very short walks.  Hooray!

My spirits lifted the further west I got, with the sun sparkling on the sea.  And the rocks, and the heather, and the sheep, the beaches, the headlands, the magic that is Pembrokeshire.  Yes, its good to be not walking here, much better than not walking at home!

And St Davids is a good place to potter gently round (when its not raining).  In a way its frustrating, I think OK, walking's out of the question but there's the beach...........or a boat trip................but, no, there's no way you can keep your feet dry doing those!  And the sight of the coast makes me yearn to be doing the walk.

But its great to be here, come rain or shine, its good!  St D's is a great hostel in a fabulous location, a brilliant place to just chill.  Which has to be good for the soul!
